The American Animal Hospital Association Hosts AAHA CON 2026 in Portland
PORTLAND, OR, UNITED STATES, August 7, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- With just one month to go, the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) is inviting the entire veterinary community to Portland, Oregon, for AAHA CON 2026, taking place September 17-19 at the Hyatt Regency Portland and the Oregon Convention Center.
This year's theme, “Excellence is a Journey,” reflects a conference built for every role of the veterinary team and every stage of a career. Attendees will gain access to more than 85 hours of continuing education across 90 sessions, with programming built for every position on the veterinary team, from client service representatives and technicians to practice managers and veterinarians. In total, 26 speakers will take the stage, covering clinical skill-building, leadership, hospital operations, client communication, and more.
Newly appointed CEO Dr. Brady Beale, VMD, DAVCO, will share with attendees insights into the strategic work the association has undertaken over the past several months. “We’ve listened to members, pet owners, staff, board leaders, and partners, and we’ve heard clearly what matters most. AAHA is committed to strengthening the systems that serve animal health through an enabled veterinary ecosystem, a restored focus on pets at the center of everything we do, and by being a more purposeful and disciplined partner to you on our shared journey.”
This year's keynote address features Dr. Bertice Berry, sociologist, bestselling author, and celebrated speaker known for her energizing take on resilience, purpose, and human connection. Her session will set the tone for a conference focused on growth, both professional and personal, for every attendee in the room.
AAHA is also making it easier to experience Portland itself. Every registered attendee will receive a free 5-day pass for Portland's MAX Light Rail system, making it easy to get to and from the Oregon Convention Center, explore downtown Portland, and get around the city without the hassle or cost of a rental car.
September is approaching, and spots are filling fast. Don't wait; register today at aaha.org/aahacon to secure your place at AAHA CON 2026.
About AAHA
Since 1933, the American Animal Hospital Association has been dedicated to improving the lives of pets, the people who care for them, and the veterinary professionals who serve them. AAHA is the only organization that accredits veterinary hospitals in North America, setting hundreds of rigorous standards for high-quality medicine and compassionate care. Because accreditation in veterinary medicine is voluntary, the AAHA-accredited logo is the most reliable indicator that a hospital has undergone independent evaluation. Today, AAHA is building on that foundation to become the most trusted and connected platform in animal health, bringing together all parts of the pet care ecosystem to strengthen the systems of excellent care. Look for the AAHA-accredited logo at your local hospital or find an accredited hospital near you today at aaha.org.
